hi, mr. apuntar i am from balanga city, bataan last september 2008 i have submeitted all the required documents for my application to work as live in caregiverto Eembassy of Canada in Manila.they received and acknowledge my documents and in return they inform me what to do next. That I have waited for the time they have told me, but the allocated time lapsed and I received nothing from them.but on December 18, 2009, the Canadian Embassy returned all my documents I have submitted to them with a cover letter duly signed by G. Ponziani,First Secretary Immigration Live-in-Caregiver Program Unit, and to my puzzlement, informed me that they sent me a letter last August 14, 2009,which I never received.that to verify the matter,I called Fedex, Balanga Branch, Balanga City, Bataan and asked if they have received a letter for me from Canadian Embassy, but they answered negatively.that to further verify,I went to Balanga City Post Office and inquire if they received any mail for me coming from the Canadian Embassy on the said month. they told me they received a letter from Embassy of Canada, with the same address as mine, but not in my name, but to one Mary Grace Isaga Velasco. As a proof i asked the mail man to give a photocopy of the envelope of the said letter which the post office receivedlast August 19,2009,Because of the conflict in the name and address of the letter it stayed in the post office for more than five months trying to locate said Mary Grace Isaga Velasco, but they never located her, for there is no such person living in that address other than me and my family. And that the letter also bears my File no. W080901334 given to me by the Embassy of Canada. That because of that conflict, it made me impossible to reply to that letter sent for me but with a wrong name, for the post office mail man did not deliverit to me because I am not the said Mary Grace Isaga Velasco...to inform the Canadian Embassy of the mistake in the name in the envelope of my letter as to the reason why i was not able to reply and immediatly obey the instructions specified threin, because it never reached me, and to appeal for reconsideration of this matter to the Canadian Embassy and asked to open their door for me to work as a Live in Caregiver in Canada. Hope you can help me about this matter. On what shuould I do next. thanks from Bataan

Apol said...

What's the content of the letter you received? Refusal? If it's just a follow up to their first letter (which you did not receive), simply comply and prepare a letter explaining the circumstances.

If it's refusal, then write them a letter of appeal, provide proof that you did not receive any letter from them and it can not be considered as non compliance.

Good evening Mr. Apuntar. My friend and I are planning to apply as immigrants to Canada but we do not know how or where to start. We are currently working here in the Philippines and some of our friends are telling us that this would be the last year that the processing for the application would only take for about 4 to 12 months. Is this true sir? Because we really are desperate to go to Canada but we do not know how. Could you please guide us through sir? Thank you so much.

Hi Mr. Apuntar...A good friend of mine invited me to Canada to visit her and my inaanak. She provided me only a letter of invitation which I attached to our application. Last April 5, my husband and I received the refusal letter from the embassy and noted that they were not convinced the we are to come back. How soon can we apply again? I have requested from her additional supporting documents that you have mentioned, hoping that it will be considered for us to be granted a visitors visa. Thanks and hoping for your advise.

Hi sir,
my family applied as an immigrant in 2005. We submitted all the documents in dec 2005 and received our file no. Last march 2006. At that time I just graduated from college and 3 years ago my sister who is next to me also graduated from college. We both started to work to finance our needs and to help our parents. In 2008 our eldest graduated from college. Last year we actually pay for our landing fee. My parents personally meet the consultant to pay the said landing fee. In their conversation, the consultant said that the three of us should continue to studying because we were student at the time we filled our papers. My mom told the consultant that her eldest got mini mba but didn't finished it bec she got sick. Her 2nd child got a chance to enroll at a regular school taking up hrm. She got an approval from her company to study. My concern was when the consultant told my mom that my apllication might be decline. I'm 26 yes old na. Do you think he's right? Were just thingking if we can retrieve or get what my parents paid for my application since the consultant told us that my application will be decline?

I lodged my application to CIO last May 2,2010 thru courier and received at CIO May 13, 2010. But until now, I did not receive any response yet. It's been already 2 months. Cindy said...

Hi Mr Apol! Your statement above was quite confusing, applicatons filed April 2010 you've started receiving notices since the start of this year? or do you mean start of this month? Would you say applicants who filed April 28 specifically shall be by this time receiving their respective notices? I check my inbox everyday and can't help but be frustrated that until this time i got no reply. BTW, I filed my application thru your firm and maybe you can help me out on this please... Thank you and more power.

Hi Cindy! Sorry about that. Yup, what I meant was THIS MONTH. If your application was filed April 28, your assessment notice would arrive around 2nd week of August, or earlier.

Hi Apol,

I have been to Canada in 1989 as a tourist. Unfortunately, I have overstayed for a year. Will that affect my application for renewal? I wish to go back there to be with my loved one. I am not eligible yet to be a fiance, because my annulment was not granted though it is currently filed in the Court of Appeals. My case is uncontested for my ex-wife is living with another man with whom she bore four children. Our justice system is unreliable. For humane reason, I want to be with the woman of my life. She's been waiting for me for more than five years now. Thank you and may God bless you.

Hi Apol,

Anong IELTS module ang dapat na i-take ng mga nurses applying for PR? GT ba or Acad?

I have heard some news that the embassy will accept only GT module. If I took GT here, do i still need to retake my IELTS in Canada under Acad module? Hope you could help us
clarify this issue.

Thank you so much

Apol said...

@company nurse - SSS not standard requirement. if and when required, there are alternatives. if you want us to process your application, send your resume for assessment. aapuntar@go2canada.com

Barbara, for pr visa applications, regardless of job classification, GT is the required. But if you took Acad, it will be accepted just the same.

Hi Sir,

I am very much interested on applying to migrate to Canada with my kids only for the reason that my husbabd and I are no longer in good speaking terms. Also, my eldest daughter is a canadian citizen. however, as of this moment, I just resigned from work as a medical representative. My husband is a CPA, CIA and is now a permament resident in Singapore. I understand that he has more points in the assessment but my question is, will the embassy of Canada give consideration to my application considering that my daughter is a canadadian citizen? Also, I have been to canada 2x already for tourist when I was still single. My Aunts and Uncles, grandparents and sisters live in Canada for almost 30 years already. They are all financially stable and established. one of my Aunt owns a dental office and she told me I can work for her as a receptionist onced I am there.

Can you please assist me on the very best and fastest way to be in Canada legally with my two kids. I would also want to attend with the seminars that you will provide on Nov 20, 2010 at Bayview Hotel. However, can you send me some details and outlines if my application would be acceptable.

Thankl You.

Sir, I am writing to seek your sound advise relative to our pending application to Canada.

My husband, as the principal applicant, through an agency filed our application to Canada in May 2007. Sometime last year, we received communication from the Canadian Embassy informing the receipt of our application which allegedly under process. In the communication, we were given the option "to withdraw" or otherwise. There was no advise that our application was denied hence we opted to go on with our application.

Unfortunately, through the agency's former staff, we were informed that the agency representing us closed last year. We were able to get back all the documents we have submitted to them but we don't have any copy of the documents/papers they have provided/submitted to the embassy. No one from the agency has communicated to us since then. My husband emailed the Canadian Embassy informing our decision to "withdraw" the representation of that said agency hence to direct all the communication to us. Later, it was acknowledged by the embassy.

To this date, our application remains "in process".

Sir, we are still waiting and hoping that our application will be approved. It's been more than three years already. What is the most sound advise you could give us for this matter?

I am a registered social worker and since it is now one of the listed priority occupations, is it right to file another application? Please advise sir.

Thank you very much for your time and hope to hear from you soon.

i've applyed for the canadian temporary visitors visa, this is my current status :

-i'm single , no children
-i just graduated and work in pr in a limited company
-i wanna visit canada for christmas break
-i have my fathers uncle and his daughter who sent me an invitation letter, and he's a college professor
- i booked the tickets
-usa visitors visa holder for the next 5 years
- i do have sufficient funds

after i applied , i got a refusal, for not satisfying the officer i would leave Canada, because of my employment and family ties, so i want to reapply, because in a month i will start a masters program here in my home country, would this make my situation any better ? and that my mother and sister would apply with me but not my father ? what additional documents or information can i add ?
thank you !

btw i'm from egypt :)

Hi Sir. I have been searching for jobs online and is very eager to get a job in Canada. I am currently employed at a well-known hotel and reporting directly to the General Manager. Then I receive a mail from job portal inc that my application has been considered and is requested to complete forms and assessment forms in order to proceed with the job offer. I am a bit skeptic as in general I am not sure if it is a legit company. In the past I have been receiving bogus companies/link which later on will ask for fees. Can you please enlighten me as I do not want to pursue the processing if it is only hoax. I really wanted to go and work in Canada so I can bring my family there. Also I am an undergrad 2nd year collee, would that hinder me from getting an job there? Thanks and Happy new year!
