Processing Time

Visa application processing time varies depending on what program you are applying for and which Visa Office is responsible in processing your application.  Official processing time is available at Citizenship and Immigration Canada website.

But to give you an idea, here's the processing times for the most common immigration programs:

6 months or less
Provincial Nominee Program

For Express Entry System and Provincial Nominee Programs, visa processing time starts upon submission of application to Centralized Intake Office. That is once you already received the Invitation to Apply (Express Entry System) or Nomination Certificate for Provincial Nominee Program.
