More Eligible Occupations Under SINP's International Skilled Worker Category

Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) recently made changes to its list of in-demand occupations that are eligible to apply under SINP International Worker Category.  From 19 eligible occupations for its Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories, it is now open to a wider range of occupations!

SINP Express Entry Stream
If you have an active Express Entry Profile and that your occupation is not included in SINP's Excluded Occupation List, you may have a chance to get a Permanent Resident Status in Canada via SINP Express Entry Stream.

To be eligible under this stream, your score must be at least 60 points using SINP's Points Assessment Grid. To submit your Expression of Interest under this category, there is a CAD 350 application fee.

SINP Occupation In-Demand Stream

Just like with the SINP Express Entry Stream, your score must be at least 60 points using SINP's Points Assessment Grid. There is also a CAD 350 application fee.

To be eligible, you must meet the education, language and work experience requirements. You don't need a job offer for this category. Your work experience must be a high skilled occupation and in-demand occupation in the National Occupational Classification (NOC) Matrix level "A", "B" or "0" and is not listed  in SINP's Excluded Occupation List. You must also have at least one of the following in your field of education or training occupation:

  • One year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades);
  • Two years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years; or
  • Twelve months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).
Regulated Occupations
For both Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand applicants who are intending to work in occupations that are regulated or have professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan,  you will be required to submit additional documentation or proof of  licensure from a professional regulatory body or national assessment body for your intended NOC code.
