Educating and training more than 20,500 people each year in a diverse array of programs, Okanagan College is the region’s largest higher education institution. Offerings range from bachelor degrees to diplomas, trades, vocational training, professional development, corporate training and adult basic education, giving students a step up in their careers. 

Okanagan College is a public, post-secondary institution with over 120 certificates, diplomas, degrees and programs including apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship trades programs. Its largest campus is located in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1963, Okanagan College has since grown to be the largest college in British Columbia outside the Lower Mainland and Victoria with over 8,500 full-time students on four regional campuses and is the second-largest trade school in British Columbia. 

Recommended Programs:

  • Business Administration Diploma. This program provides students with a broad understanding of business practices. Combined with experience and skills learned in the classroom, students will be able to progress to more responsible roles in accounting, marketing, operations, personnel or general administration.
  • Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Human Resources Management This two-year program focuses on management principles, geared towards those who hold a Bachelor’s degree in a subject other than human resources management. Successful graduates are able for exemption for the national knowledge exam for Chartered Professionals in Human Resources.
  • Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Marketing Designed for those who hold a Bachelor’s degree in a program other than marketing, classes consist of a broad foundation of business principles and practices, enabling specialization. Courses give you that extra edge of management expertise to complement your previous business experience.
  • Culinary Management Diploma Learn the fundamentals of the Culinary Arts program, followed by two semesters of Business Administration and Wine courses to prepare you for management in the culinary industry.
  • Tourism Management Diploma The Tourism Management Diploma at Okanagan College's Revelstoke Centre is designed to give students real-world knowledge, skills and opportunities to advance careers in the mountain tourism sector. 
  • Animation Diploma The Animation Diploma program focuses on drawing, design and the principles and techniques of traditional and digital character animation, using the latest technology in state-of-the-art facilities.
  • Civil Engineering Technology Diploma Learn about the design and construction of integral infrastructure as it relates to the function of cities and urban areas. Gain the knowledge and skills to work on the design and construction of various sustainable infrastructure, from roads to parks, drainage to sewer plants.
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma Learn fundamental engineering principles and practices while gaining a working knowledge in the areas of material use, structures, fluids, power, machine design, manufacturing, thermodynamics, quality and instrumentation and control.
  • Kinesiology Diploma Study health and exercise sciences to become a community leader in sport, recreation, fitness and wellness.
  • Early Childhood Education Diploma Gain the required knowledge to work alongside children, interact with families and understand family units.
