Changes on Canada's travel restrictions starting August 9, 2021

Canada is easing border measures for fully vaccinated travelers entering Canada. Here's a summary of the changes to be implemented that may affect International Students and Visitor Visa holders traveling to Canada.
Changes on Canada's travel restrictions starting August 9, 2021

Changes to be implemented starting August 9, 2021:
Elimination of the 3-night government-authorized hotel stay requirement. Partially-vaccinated and unvaccinated international students will still be required to undergo Day 1 and Day 8 COVID-19 molecular tests, and complete a mandatory 14 day quarantine.

Changes to be implemented starting September 7, 2021:
The Government intends to open Canada’s borders to any fully vaccinated traveller
for discretionary (non-essential) purposes with a Government of Canada-accepted vaccine at least 14 days prior to entering Canada. This could mean fully vaccinated visitor visa holders may now travel to Canada.
