1,000 Cap for Nurses has been reached | Federal Skilled Worker Program

As of December 22, 2010, the 1,000 cap for Registered Nurses has already been reached.

This means, the Centralized Intake Office will only accept applications for this occupation from people with an existing offer of arranged employment. Otherwise, it will be returned unprocessed.

I'm a registered nurse and I don't have an arranged employment. But I meet the 67 points pass mark. I'm in the middle of preparing my supporting documents, WHAT NOW?

First, do you still want to live and work in Canada? If yes, then remember this: 'People never plan to fail. They just fail to plan.'

Now isn't your time, but make sure when your occupation opens up again, you will be ready to file your application in an instant. Your time may come this July 2011.

Go ahead, get your documents ready as early as now! It is not impossible that the cap for nurses will be filled up in a month or two after it open up. It will be a huge mistke if you will miss that opportunity again.

A Christmas Treat from CIC : P5,000 deposit to start application!

Depending on how you will take this offer from us, you will be celebrating a white christmas next year. That is if you will make a decision NOW.

But first, I need to ask you this:
  • Are you still interested to live and work in Canada?

  • Do you really want to live and work in Canada to give your family a better quality of life?

  • Do you have the courage and determination to make it happen?

  • If you answer NO in any of those three questions, you may stop reading this message now. Otherwise, please read on and take this offer seriously.

With only few days left before the Christmas Eve, we are all busy thinking of what gift to buy our love ones. Chances are you may actually set aside your plans to start your immigrant visa application and prioritize expenses for the coming holidays. Nothing is wrong with that and that is understandable. I must say though that it is just a matter of setting your priority. And as as Consultant, I also need to make you understand the importance of a timely decision.

Immigration rules change. The longer you delay your decision, the more you are risking your eligibility. You also need to consider the immigration quota and the cap on the applications being received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada. If you are seriously considering this opportunity, you should file your application ASAP! Opportunities knock only once and it's not going to wait for you.

"I want to apply now but I don't have the extra P25,000 to start the application."

    No problem.

If you sign up on or before the 30th of December 2010, we'll accept a minimum of P5,000 deposit!

The objective here is really simple. It's to avoid wasting time and to start preparing your documents, application forms, and other requirements with the end in view of sending your application to Centralized Intake Office (CIO) early next year.

With P5,000 deposit, you can already get the application kit containing the application forms, list of requirements and documention guidelines. The balance of P20,000 can be paid in two installments within 60 days or before sending your application to CIO, whichever comes first.

    Interested?

Let's set an appointment and start the process. We have offices in Coastal Mall (Paranaque City), SM Mall of Asia (Pasay City) and SM City North EDSA (Quezon City). Simply reply to this email or contact me at mob no 0928.5008826 to set an appointment.

Legislation to crack down on crooked consultants may soon become a law

Cracking Down on Crooked Consultants ActCracking Down on Crooked Consultants Act received final approval in the House of Commons on December 7, 2010. It will now be forwarded to Senate for consideration.

Here's a recent news release from Citizenship and Immigration Canada regarding this development, statement Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney.

“In their quest for personal gain, crooked consultants have displayed a wanton disregard for our immigration rules and bilked too many people out of their hard-earned dollars,” said Minister Kenney. “They are a menace, posing a costly threat not only to their victims, but also to the integrity and fairness of our immigration system. When crooked consultants encourage prospective immigrants to cheat the system, it slows down the immigration system for those following the rules.”

The legislation would make it a crime for unauthorized individuals to provide immigration advice or representation for a fee. This includes services offered or performed before an application is submitted or a proceeding begins, thus closing a loophole in the current framework. It would also give the Minister the authority to designate a body to govern immigration consultants and authorize the Governor in Council to make regulations to enhance the government’s oversight of this body. Legislation to crack down on crooked consultants a step closer to becoming law. The days of crooked immigration consultants are numbered!

Prostitution in Canada | Decriminalizing Prostitution in Canada

Prostitution in Canada Prostitution in Canada is generally not illegal. However, there are laws criminalizing activities related to prostiution. Three Toronto women challenged anti-prostitution laws in October 2009, arguing that those prohibitions prevented them from conducting their business in the safety of their homes or brothels and forced them into hasty street conversations with potential customers, with no time to weed out those who might be dangerous.

A Toronto judge made a decision favoring the appeal of the three prostitutes. But Canada's Court of Appeal Thursday blocked the said ruling that effectively decriminalized prostitution in Canada until April to allow for an appeal. Story from inquirer.net.

Are you in favor of decriminalizing prostitution in Canada?
