New OINP Employer Portal Launching July 2, 2025

We're excited to announce the launch of the new Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Employer Portal, going live on July 2, 2025. This update marks a major step in modernizing how employers support immigration applications under the OINP Employer Job Offer streams.

What’s Changing with OINP Employer Portal?

The new Employer Portal will replace the current paper-based Application for Approval of an Employment Position (Employer Form) with a secure, user-friendly digital platform.

Key change: The process is shifting from applicant-led to employer-led. Employers will now begin the process by submitting employment position details through the portal before applicants can register an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Key Features of the Employer Portal

Developed in response to stakeholder feedback, the Employer Portal introduces a number of improvements:

  • Integration with My Ontario for a single point of access

  • Online submission and management of applications

  • Direct communication between employers and the OINP

  • Secure document uploads

  • Auto-population of form fields to minimize duplication

  • Ability to add employer contacts and authorized representatives

  • Simplified application tracking

Important Dates & Required Actions

To prepare for the launch of the new system, some service interruptions and changes will take place:

June 20 – July 2:Registrants will not be able to submit new EOIs for Employer Job Offer streams.

June 21–22:All existing EOIs under the Employer Job Offer streams will be automatically withdrawn.

June 27 (after close of business) – June 29:The OINP system will be unavailable for all streams. No one will be able to access applications, submit applications, or register EOIs during this period.

July 2:The Employer Portal officially launches.Employers will be able to register and submit employment position information.Applicants will then be able to re-register their EOIs.

New EOIs will be valid for 12 months and considered for future program draws.

Who This Affects

These changes will impact EOI registrants under the following streams:

  • Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker stream

  • Employer Job Offer: International Student stream

  • Employer Job Offer: In-Demand Skills stream
