The pandemic COVID-19 is affecting us right now. What are you thinking? How are you feeling right now?

This pandemic COVID-19 exposes how vulnerable most Filipino families are. Many are afraid and worried. Some are hopeless and asking questions like "What will happen to my family?"; "Who is going to help us?"; "How long can we survive?".

Know that this is just a temporary setback. There is hope. Bright future is awaiting for you only if you are prepared.

Congratulations, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray!

It took Pia Wurtzbach three tries before she finally got the Binibini crown, and eventually the Miss Universe crown.  Catriona Gray didn’t bag the Miss World title back in 2016, but is now the crowned queen of the universe for 2018.

Just like in applying for Visa to Canada, don't let the 1st refusal discourage you.

Immigrate to Canada, Have a Financial Security!

Sickness, Accident and Death are some of incidents that may cause major financial setbacks.  A simple hospitalization of a family member could mean an emergency.  That is because until now, insurance is not  considered a priority by many Filipinos.

Without insurance coverage, these may drain your savings.  And if you don't have any savings, this is where your loan starts to build up.

It is a very SAD situation.

Why Immigrate to Canada?

Immigration is not a simple process.  It takes a lot of planning and preparation.  You need to make a timely decision and you must have a strong commitment to your plan.  You also need to invest a good amount of money.  And then when you landed in Canada, there is a great chance you will be starting at entry level positions, especially if your occupation is regulated in Canada.

So why immigrate to Canada?

Why pay for a quality education when you can have it for free?

In the Philippines, parents invest in education for their children’s future. Every year the parents have to budget for the tuition fee. Even sacrificing their personal needs to be able to meet the school fees.

Can you afford the quality education that you are looking for?

Good Hires Canada: Legit or Scam?

Is Good Hires Canada (http://goodhires.ca) legitimate business?  Is it ok to register with Good Hires Canada?  I've seen their Facebook advertisement several months ago but never really give it attention.    But I recently received an email from one of Gateway to Canada readers so I gave it a look.

Comprehensive Nursing Act of 2016 - Justice for Nurses!

The Comprehensive Nursing Act of 2016 was already approved both by the Lower and Upper House.  The only thing that is needed in order for this to become a law is the signature of President Aquino.  Hopefully, it will not be vetoed by the President like he did with the SSS Pension Hike.

Anong klaseng OFW ka? You can be more 'wais' than Lumen

Anong klase ka ng OFW? This is a very good observation about the different types of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW).  The idea is that one should not be an overseas contract worker forever.

Never give up on something you really want. It's difficult to wait, but it's more difficult to regret.

The process of Immigrating to Canada now is more difficult now than few years ago.  And if you are familiar with the chronicle of changes in Canada's Immigration rules and regulations, you would understand the rules are subject to changes.  Sometimes, changes are favorable for you. Sometimes, it isn't.  Some applicants take it only less than 6 months for them to get the visa. Some others took 6 years.  You see, if you don't have patience, it may not work for you.

So, how bad do you really want to move to Canada?

Luck is not in your hands, but decision always is.

"Your decision can make luck, but luck cannot substitute for decision. So decide wisely. We believe good luck will someday do something good for us. But we do not know that luck is also waiting that someday we do something good! We spend our days awaiting the ideal situation to appear in our life. But we forget that efforts create worthwhile situations, not waiting." - Swami Mukundananda
